What’s the best way to patch a hole in an inflatable boat?
As I am planning a trip to an underground canal basin – an adventure which will certainly require a shipshape raft, I have got my inflatable dinghy out of the garage. On pumping it up to test it however, I have discovered that it has two small holes. I attempted to seal them up with duct tape, but it kept peeling so I glued it on. I’m not sure whether or not it’s staying sealed now, but that seemed to work better. However, I’m not too optimistic, and if the boat has gone down by the morning I’ll have to try an alternate method of patching it. What would you recommend? I need to be certain that it will remain sealed, as I’m not overly fond of the idea of swimming in the murky brown canal water. Thank you for your help.

I used to sell real inflatable boats….Avon’s and Zodiacs……..for a living.
I ended up ROTFLMAO when I saw your picture.
In the business we called those things pool toys.
There is no way I know to fix them, the basic material is just too thin and weak and subject to punctures….like in a cave.
Go buy a real boat or prepare for a lot of swimming…
