I am looking to purchase a pontoon single seat inflatable. would a 12 volt electric motor be a good fit?

I agree with Airflow. I have a single seat pontoon, and there is no safe place to put a motor. Buy yourself some flippers to go with it. They work wonderfully for propelling about.
