Blow up boat motor help.?
Hi there, I have a Seahawk 200 for two people.

Last year I used it with just the oars, and my boyfriend and I were thinking of purchasing a motor for it this year. The only problem is, we have no idea what we are doing and before going to a store to look I want to know what I am doing.
It says the maximum we can go for a motor is 18 lbs., and I guess it would have to be gas. So does anyone have any suggestions on what sort motor to get, how to mount it to the back, and how to take care of it?
Usually these types of boats use an electric trolling motor. A gas powered motor will be too powerful for the inflatable. Also, the gas motor will weigh too much for the adapter mount to hold. Below is the type of motor usually mounted and is light. You’ll need to also get a Deep Cycle group 24 Marine battery too. The maker of the inflatable boat has the proper motor mount. You should be able to purchase it from the store you bought the boat from. If they don’t have it on the shelf, they can order it for you.
