is it legal to get a small boat boat such as 2 person boat at paddle out 1/4 of a mile out in the ocean in?
california at the state beaches such as carpinteria state beach. i just got a small pacifica 200 by sevylor and i would like to know what ican do with it in california at the beaches.
It’s not illegal if you’re properly equipped by that I mean the boat has some personal flotation devices on board at the least. Some regattas for small sailing vessels are held that far off shore. The question is , is it safe to do so in the conditions? That’s up to you ,your skill and the weather.
