Summer fishing dingy suggestions?
I come to you guys for help. A buddy of mine and I are in the market for a new fishing dingy. we had an inflatable one but it popped. We want quality but we are college students and cannot afford something costing over 300$. I know our selection is limited, but we feel with help and intensive searching we can find something. we are looking for something sturdy and (hopefully) a hard bottom. it needs to be around 10′. any suggestions? We dont care if it’s inflatable, collapsable, or neither. we just want something that size to throw on top of my car and go fishing. thanks in advance!
If possible I would like to be able to mount a small electric motor.
I have a Walker Bay dinghy 10′ that I bought used for $500. This is the Ultimate Dinghy…look for one used. It has lasted years, is light and has a “Wheel in the Keel” which means there is a wheel in the bottom and you can roll it into the water to launch it. Even my wife can do it! I have it outfitted with a 3.5hp motor but I live on the bay in NJ so I need that extra power to get home if it kicks up. An electric motor will work fine for you in ponds, lakes whatever. Check it out and look for one. Don’t settle for something cheap that will leave you in trouble or only last a year…
