inflatable boat big mistake? Help?
Hey me and a bunch of friend just brought this (4 of us) http://www.amazon.com/Sevylor-Fish-Hunter-Inflatable-Boat/dp/B000K8PKJ8 from amazon we are not rich so this is like the rest of the summer fun no girls just us guys…maybe some girls…lol
The point is i live in NYC and we just checked out the Hudson river and that is quite scary….will it be safe…is there is law that we should be aware of? AND where else can we boat can we take to the beach…IS THERE any cool advantageous river close by where we can just relax have a blast…
I have this boat and we use it on lakes with alot of enjoyment and no trouble. I would be careful with rivers and rapids but you can do something to make this boat more durable – buy the boat boot that is made for the Sevylor Fish hunters! I have one and it really serves to make the boat much more rigid and prevent things in the water (we have rugged tree trunks in our lake) from popping the boat. So far so good! As for laws, not that I am aware of. Look for small lakes to enjoy your boat, you will have alot of fun with it. Get yourself a 2.5 hp gas motor to really get you going! Look on Ebay. Also, they used to sell canopies for these boats! I thought that was neat if you planned to be out there a long time! One final thing to make your day easier – use a rechargeable Coleman electric pump! It works great because you don’t have to pump with your foot, it doesn’t require cords and you can even use the deflating function to get that boat paper thin in a minute or two! hope that helps!
