Have you ever been in a near-death experience?
I got to go scuba diving last summer! I got to use the oxygen tanks way deep in the water and chase the fish. Haha I had a blast. But I almost drowned at the end because I still had my weight belt on, but not the floater, so I started sinking. The instructor caught me when I was about 25 ft down though and gasping for air. f-cking scary.
I also went whitewater rafting and fell out during the worst part of the rapids. & hit my head on a rock. Those were the days. I’m kinda clumsy lol
I was canoeing at my summer camp a few summers ago, and it was sort of cloudy and windy but they let us out on the water anyways. in my boat, we had me, another camper, and a 16- year old canoe trainee. So we were all staying in a group and it was really fun, but then it started to get cloudier and foggier, until we couldn’t see our hand in front of our face. We were really lost, & then it started raining and thunderstorming really hard, we weren’t even close to land. And we were in a metal canoe to make matters worse.. we huddled under the canoe for a while, but then decided to ditch the canoe and our stuff and try to swim to shore. we swam aimlessly for a looooong time and i remember thinking i would die of exhaustion and drown but then we finally saw shore… it was the happiest i have ever been.
