Techniques/mechanics for playing beruit?
First of all, it’s called beruit because beerpong is actually played with a ping pong paddle with the handle broken off and with a nearly different set of rules.
But my question is, how to be more consistant with my shot with proper body mechanics?
I was thinking it would be like playing basketball – vertical velocity with the knees and have a lined up shot by keeping the elbow movement perpendicular to the table so you dont have left or right movement. Slight arc on the ball and consistant movement?
Idk, what are some other ideas on this wonderful game.
Please no answers like, “shoot at the direction of the cups.” My 9 year old brother could have told me that.
First of all, thank you for calling it Beirut. You are right, beerpong is a different game, and its defintately important to keep these games seperate.
My key to success is the same as basketball players shooting freethrows. Have a routine, and stick to it. For me, I have my right foot forward, and my left foot behind me with just the toe touching. I look down, bounce the ball twice, look up at the cups and release quickly without overthinking or getting distracted by taking time, or excessive aiming.
Just find a routine, and if you stick to it, it will improve.
