What would happen if I took out my two man inflatable boat and set off on an excursion down the River Thames?

In London – obviously not heading too far. Perhaps from Hammersmith to Greenwich. Would you imagine this would be safe? I know this is a very silly question, but I feel like doing something quirky and fun this summer.
In something that size, on the open and tidal Thames, with waves from passing taxi-boats and pleasure craft, not to mention the bridges and currents…. utterly dangerous.
