Should I be angry or just let it go?
I’m a junior in college and take a Drawing class with a professor who has a bad reputation of being mean. I am nearing 23 and learning not to take things so personally and not dwell on people’s judgements, but there is a pair of ditzy, annoying girls who take the class with me and are constantly disrupting the class with their nonsense and giggling – You’d think this professor would be jumping at the chance to kick them out but she actually likes them and in my opinion favors them. When I put my work up for crtique in front of the class, my teacher criticized it heavily (as she usually does with my work) and told me I should hang out with those girls so I’d smile more. I was deeply offended to think that I belonged in a category with such airheads. I didn’t respond and just nodded, but am still angry over the comment. Should I be offended by this remark or just let it roll off my back?
