Inflatable boat. Hard Flooring.?
If you put a board at the bottom of a inflatable boat a coleman 4 person. Will it be stable enough to stand on or put a seat in?
For the most part- yes. Your seat/seats must be supported by the floor and not depend on the rubber parts of the boat. The floor should tuck snugly under the inflation tubes but no splinters or sharp edges and finish off the edges in resin or sealer so they are smooth to the touch- NO points or sharp edges. Then you can put in some “bench seats” with “X” braces to keep them from collapsing into the flotation tubes.
Keep it light. Pine and marine ply -3/8 should make a good enough floor.
Hidden hinges with the “bite” away from the rubber, and hinges with removable pins can be used to make it disassemble for flat storage.
