boating question?
hi, i am looking to buy a small family boat or inflatable dinghy but have no knowledge of boating , can you help with some info about what hp outboard will do what speed roughly and what would be a nice way to start boating, our children are 4 and 8, are there any laws etc we need to know about. many thanks russell
Where do you live?
Most states require a certain size for “X” number of people.
You’ll have to carry insurance (with auto insurance to pull it)
You have to life vest for everyone in the boat.
If you buy a real boat, meaning full size, a longer boat provides a smoother trip, less bouncing. Considering you have small children. Plus longer trailers are easier to back up.
