Repost – Newborn + 13 month old & great ways to lose weight?
I am 39 weeks pregnant with my second child in two years, so I know that I have packed on quite a lot of weight.. I am scared to even look at the scales..
I was wondering, does anyone have any great tips for losing weight while breastfeeding a newborn, and taking care of a 13 month old?
Portion control. Never overeat. But make sure you eat enough. Just don’t eat too much. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Keep baggies filled with celery, carrots, sliced bell pepper, etc. Whatever floats your boat. Keep apples, bananas, oranges, pears etc. on hand so you have healthy snacks. Oatmeal is a good breakfast, so are eggs. Go for healthy cereals like Total and Kashi go lean crunch. Yogurt is good too. Keep healthy foods on hand and at eye level and in easy to reach places. Don’t even buy the junk.
As for exercise, go for walks or to the park, or put newborn in a bunting and in a baby chair inside by your door and take your toddler outside and run in the snow (if the toddler can walk), do exercises with your babies, etc. Exercise at least 3 days a week.
