Is this a good deal? Zodiac (15′) inflatable with 40hp 2-stroke Tohatsu and a trailer… $3,100 (US)?
I’ve never owned a boat, want to get a low priced one to try for a season to go diving in So Cal… Looks like the motor is made in ’89. No idea of age of boat. Any advice on what to look for on a Zodiac, or 2-stroke engines would be appreciated!
+ If it were all new it would be an awesome deal. Seeing as it is old and used it might be junk that someone is trying to get rid of. I purchased a new 16 foot aluminum boat with trailer and engine (15HP) for about $5,000.
Seems like for a couple thousand more you could have a new boat so maybe you should try to get a lower price or save some more and get a new one.
I was wondering if you had thought about this? If you are going diving, How are you going to get back in the boat without swamping it, or do you swamp it then bail?
