swimming in giza, egypt?
i was thinking about going to giza and staying in an apartment for various reasons like cooking facilities.
i cant find one with a communal pool, there isnt a beach near giza and its not recommended that you swim in the nile, the red sea is too far away so where can i swim?
i was wondering if i could use other peoples hotel pools, am willing to pay.
do they sell paddling pools or inflatables like inflatable boats at giza? then i could at least put it on the balcony to dip feet in, i know nothing about the local shops and what they sell. if not i could take my own? a bit annoying though to travel with.
does anyone know more about this? thanks.
Yes, many hotels have fees for using their swimming pools.
There are also private gyms with pools.
There are private clubs that allow foreigners in with a yearly fee.
Or you can easily buy an inflatable pool. You can buy it at any of those stores that sell children’s goods. You don’t have to bring your own.
Swimming in the Nile is dangerous, esp that there are no beaches or special areas for swimming. There are boats going and coming and fishermen too. You will look very odd wearing a swimsuit and going into the water. Please don’t do that.
