How fast will my 10 and a half foot rubber inflatable dinghy go?
I just got a 10 and a half foot inflatable rubber dinghy and I’m wondering weather I should start saving up money for a new engine or just leave it the way i bought it. Anyway my boat is 10 and a half feet long and it has a 6 hp 4 stroke saltwater outboard engine(Yes by the way, it is a saltwater body of water). I was just wondering if i should start to save up for a 10 hp engine? Any advice?
it depends on what kind of boating you plan on doing with your inflatable. the six horse is about 30 lbs lighter that a 10hp which makes it easier to carry. the 6hp should push your boat around 6mph, with the 10 hp you may get the boat on a plane which should be about 12+ mph.
the 10hp will give you better reserve throttle to help carry more weight or punch through bigger waves
